wife taxed
My wife and I are tax residents in Portugal
I rent a property in Sweden and I consider to sign myself into that property, which will make me a tax resident in Sweden again. I consider to retain tax residency in Portugal too, if needed.
My wife is a tax resident in Portugal. She owns and lives in her house there and looks after her elderly parents, whom she can not leave alone. She has never lived in Sweden and doesn’t plan to move to Sweden or to spend long time in Sweden because of her commitments in Portugal.
Will my registering back in Sweden automatically make my wife a tax resident in Sweden too, taxed on the worldwide income?

Hi!
Since you wife have never lived in Sweden, she cannot become a tax resident in Sweden just because you are a tax resident in Sweden.
She need to move to Sweden permanently to become a tax resident in Sweden.
Kind regards
Daniel
